The PX-50 index dropped a further 1.3% yesterday, its third consecutive losing session, as it posted a 5-week low. The sell-off yesterday was fed by a weakened international trading sentiment after the Istanbul bombings. Komercni banka fared worse as it dropped 3.4% to CZK 2,260, and Cesky Telecom traded to as low as CZK 273, but the stock was still well bid throughout the day. Unipetrol ended up at CZK 57 after several companies expressed preliminary interest in the state’s to-be-privatized majority stake. The stock will continue to be driven by privatization news in the near future. Volume in the SPAD trading system totaled USD 35.73m yesterday.
