Even excellent retail sales figures in the U.S. could not prevent the euro
from appreciating. On Wednesday the rate EUR/USD opened at 1.1248 in Europe.
The euro started strengthening before noon and closed at 1.1290 with a break
after the retail sales were released. Later the dollar went on depreciating
in the U.S. trading session. The rate opened at 1,1280 and closed at 1,1318.
This morning the rate EUR/USD opened at 1.1315 and should move between
1,1270 and 1.1370.
Today the rate might be also influenced by statistical
data released on both sides of the Atlantic.
