Yesterday the main opposition party, ODS, reiterated that it will initiate a vote of confidence on the current government, but no earlier than by the end of March, after the Social Democrats hold their nationwide party congress. ODS has been calling for early elections for quite a while as they currently rank first in electorate polls. Regular elections are scheduled for June 2006. As the political crisis has eased at least until the end of March – when the final bids for the sale of Cesky Telecom are due - we expect the privatization of CT to be completed without major delays.
