Stocks closed lower yesterday, after a streak of eight successive gains. Cesky Telecom pulled the index lower, closing below CZK 700 again. Trading in CT was very nervous throughout the day, as there was contradictory news in the market regarding a possible tender-offer obligation for the future buyer of the government’s stake (see below). Other big caps moved mostly sideways, with activity being unexceptional. Buyers encountered quite a few people looking to take their quick profits. Total SPAD volume reached 22 million USD.
