Prague added 0.93% on Wednesday. CEZ was the day’s leader as the company released better-than-expected preliminary 2000 results. The stock rose 3.45%, to CZK 102.89, as a result; however, volume remained low and only 658,000 shares changed hands. Other titles traded stronger yesterday as well: Cesky Telecom up 2.20% at CZK 418; Komercni up 2.52% at CZK 1,010; Ceske radio up 1.92% at CZK 1,059. However, total volume remained low and reached USD 13.2 mil. For today, the market will absorb last night’s testimony of Fed chairman Alan Greenspan who indicated little that would overtly affect market sentiment. We believe that CEZ should be on the rise in the near term.
