(Ladislav Kovář) IPS’ annual shareholders meeting is scheduled for today. On its agenda are just the routine affairs (1999 figures, etc.), but there is a small chance that new information on the ownership situation will be provided. Stredoevropska stavebni, which won a majority stake in IPS earlier this year but failed to secure long-term financing, is in the process of selling its stake to a new investor. Ludek Sekyra, Stredoevropska stavebni’s chairman, indicated last week that a joint statement would be made this week. Today’s AGM may in theory provide the occasion for such an announcement, though we consider this unlikely. In connection with the change of ownership, the market is speculating on a new buy-out offer to minority shareholders.
