The Czech Statistical Office is going to publish data on GDP (March-June) this Friday. According to indications from sectional economic statistics, these should be solid numbers. The central feature of GDP growth should remain household consumption supported by declining unemployment and wage growth. Investment assets should also contribute positively while exports are also showing double digit growth. However, the overall contribution of foreign trade is going to be negative due to even faster growth in imports. According to our estimates, GDP increased by 6.5% in the 2Q07. For the full year, we expect the Czech economy to have grown by 6%.
