The Czech market eased after opening, but rebounded nicely around noon to close up by 0.6%. The total volume traded was above the long-term averages. CEZ and both banks were main market movers. CEZ’s trip above the CZK 1,370 didn’t last long and the stock closed with small gain below the CZK 1,360 level. The market experienced same trading pattern on banks. Erste Bank finished weaker while Komercni banka rallied supported by strong demand from foreign accounts. Philip Morris reached its 6 years low as buyers disappeared.
