The PX-50 index rose a modest 0.13% yesterday. Komercni banka (+0.5%), Cesky Telecom (+0.35%), and CEZ (+0.25%) were the day’s gainers. All blue-chips stocks saw fresh foreign buying, despite the weakening of major European bourses yesterday. We expect a rather volatile session today, with Komercni banka again to lead the trading. Komercni’s price could stabilize around its current level as the stock’s ex-dividend date approaches (July 19). As observed yesterday, foreign buying continues to support the market, and despite the poor performance of worldwide markets overnight and yesterday, we expect a flat-to-positive session in Prague today. Total volume in the SPAD system reached USD 17.5 mil. on Thursday.
