Czech Parliament is scheduled to vote today in the third and final reading of proposed amendments to the central bank law. Certain amendments to the law are controversial, as they are considered as constraining the central bank’s independence, and increasing politicians’ control over the CNB. It is not certain at the moment which amendments will actually be approved, so any verdict depends on the results of voting today.
