MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Russian oil firm Lukoil is interested in joining oil refining companies in Europe as a shareholder, Lukoil President Vagit Alekperov told the Vesti news channel in an interview. "We are looking at the possibility of acquiring refineries or taking part in shareholder capital," he said. Lukoil is expanding its sales network in Western Europe, the Balkans and Turkey and one of the factors that has been holding the company back is the lack of oil refining capacity, he said.
