Twenty-eight percent of Czechs would vote for the Czech Social Democratic Party (CSSD) if a general election were held now, according to a public opinion poll conducted by the TNS Aisa agency for the public Czech Television (CT) that released its results today. The CSSD would be followed by the Communists (KSCM) with 15.5 percent and two rightist parties, TOP 09 (13 percent) and the Civic Democrats (ODS, 9.5 percent). Further positions would go to ANO of Andrej Babis (7 percent), the Dawn of Direct Democracy of Tomio Okamura and the Party of Citizens´ Rights - the Zemanites (SPOZ) with 5.5 percent each. The Green Party (SZ) with 5 percent could return to the Chamber of Deputies after a pause of almost four years. The turnout would be 71 percent while 15 percent of Czechs do not want to go to the polls, the poll showed. TNS Aisa conducted the poll on 1205 people on September 2-5. An early general election will be held on October 25-26.
