The PX-50 index closed down 0.36% after the second day of strong selling hit the Czech bourse. CEZ and Komercni banka were under pressure with CEZ losing almost 3% at the intraday low. The stock found a support level around CZK 144, though, and recovered to close down 0.8% at CZK 146.4 toward the end of the session. Cesky Telecom consolidated at around the CZK 285 level; we saw some fresh buying into Erste Bank and Philip Morris CR shares. CEZ traded with a volume exceeding 4m shares, the highest level since May 2002. Volume in the SPAD trading systém reached USD 58.32m - well above the long-term average daily levels.
