The PX-50 index began the new week by gaining marginally yesterday, rising 0.08% to 633.6 points. Both Cesky Telecom and CEZ added over 1% to their value, both on light volumes. Investors’ euphoria of recent weeks seems to have abated. As for market inputs, we are not likely to see any major corporate events in the near term, though some political clashes are likely to occur as debate of the government’s public-finance reform and the state budget for 2004 will begin in Parliament this month. Regardless, we do not expect any considerable market weakening. Volume in SPAD trading system reached USD 20.51 mil. yesterday.
