Skanska AB, one of Europe's biggest construction companies, says it has received three road-construction orders worth a total of CZK 1.074 billion (USD 38 million) in The Czech Republic.
The largest assignment is for a highway between Hradec Kralove and Pardubice in the central part of the country, 100 kilometers east of the capital, Prague. This contract is valued CZK 1.480 billion, of which Skanska has 69 percent. The other contracts are for two smaller road projects in Bystre-Svojanov and Hlinsko-Jankovice. These are valued at a total of CZK 53 M. The orders have been included in the order bookings for the second quarter of 2003.
Stockholm-based Skanska owns and operates subsidiaries in more than 60 countries and employs 75,000 people worldwide.
