The Czech Press Agency says that 12 companies have expressed preliminary interest in CEZ privatization (the deadline for expressions of interest was Monday). EdF, E.ON, British Energy and International Power are cited to be the leading candidates, being mentioned are also RWE (who recently denied its interest due to CEZ’s nuclear assets), the Italian Enel and AES from the US.
Strict security measures have been taken at CEZ’s Temelin nuclear plant in reaction to yesterday’s terrorist attacks in the US; the load of the first reactor was decreased to 3% in order to continue with tests.
