The Czech koruna weakened to 28,46 CZK/EUR at the close today as regional mood worsened due to Hungarian riots. The forint led the CE region down today, reaction of the CZK was, as usual, dampened.
Czech PM Topolanek together with CNB governor Tuma said today that the euro adoption in 2010 was unrealistic. This has been already known, even from official places (Ministry of finance). The news is therefore neutral.
The CZK ended slightly stronger against the USD, at 22,42. Volatility on USD/EUR increased after sharp fall in German ZEW index and US PPI report. Now the pair trades at 1,2678 USD/EUR. Key event of tomorrow will be the evening FOMC meeting.
