Unemployment rate in the Czech Republic continues to decline relatively fast, when it dropped under the 6% level to 5.8% in October. The number of unemployed persons further declined by 16 thousand to 348.8 thousand since September as growing production requires more labour force. However, not every job position can be filled with a suitable candidate and therefore the number of free job positions is also increasing. Apart from favourable effects caused by fast economic growth, there is a seasonal impact connected with employment of new graduates.
