The government has decided to offer the third UMTS licence to third largest mobile phone operator Oskar for CZK 2bn in the first round of the tender. If Oskar does not take advantage of the offer the licence will be sold at the same price in a second round open to other companies. We remind that two licences were already sold in 2001 to mobile operators Eurotel and T-Mobile for a total of CZK 7.4bn.
