Ceska sporitelna informed us yesterday afternoon that it would not release its 2001 preliminary unconsolidated CAS results today but on February 8.
The LN daily reports today that gross fees income from other banks’ clients who used Ceska sporitelna ATMs increased by CZK 111 mil. y-to-y in the last quarter of 2001. This is attributable both to the increased usage of CS ATMs (+18%) and to a fee increase (from CZK 20 to CZK 47). Given CS’s positive interbank balance (i.e., CS clients have less withdrawals from non-CS ATMs than vice versa), the net impact of the fee increase on the P&L account should be positive. Expected.
