The regulator on Friday announced interconnection prices for traffic between Cesky Telecom and the alternative operators. The prices are CZK/min 0.66 peak time and CZK/min 0.33 off-peak. CT had wanted CZK/min 1.79 as the peak-time price; the alternative operators sought CZK/min 0.10. The prices decided on by the regulator are therefore significantly lower than was Cesky Telecom’s original offer to the alternative operators, but are still in the higher end of the range observed in the EU. We do not expect the announcement to have an impact on the stocks of Cesky Telecom (the incumbent operator) and Ceske radiokomunikace (which has a 50% stake in Contactel, an alternative operator).
