Partner Jiri Gavor of ENA energy-research company said that he is deeply convinced that Temelin will not be expanded unless a state guarantee, such as a guaranteed price for the electricity produced, is approved. /We argree that electricity prices at current levels in the region are not sufficient to profitable enlargement project. We estimate that baseload electricity price must reach at least 70 EUR/MWh to achieve 10% ROE on the project with expected CAPEX of 250 bln. CZK. We do not expect such a high electricity price in the foreseeable future.
