The PX-50 index lost 1.27% to 413.4 points on Wednesday as investors were in a selling mood after a negative Tuesday US close. Cesky Telecom posted a low of CZK 340 intra-day and closed down at CZK 342,30 (-1.92%). The sellers there were foreign as well as large domestic institutions. CEZ, which had recently held its ground, yesterday lost 2.53%, to CZK 79,10. The stock traded aggressively on a good volume, with most of the selling originating from abroad. Total market volume reached USD 16.5 mil. The market will likely continue to fall today; we expect Cesky Telecom and CEZ to be in the spotlight.
