Launching of the nuclear plant Temelín has begun and the first nuclear reaction is expected this afternoon.
Inflation remained at 4.1% y-to-y in September, contrary to expectations. Even better, unemployment rate fell to 8.8%. Relatively low inflation, falling unemployment… a new economy, then?
The Czech koruna did not react to favorable inflation numbers and remained stable just below 41 CZK/USD and at around 35.55 CZK/EUR.
Bond prices gained slightly after the inflation numbers were announced and moved up by approx. 10 bps, across the board.
