The Czech market lost a further 0.66% on Monday, following the trend in Europe and the NASDAQ’s loss on Friday. The market continued to trade with little interest from foreign accounts; Czech retail made up for the most of the volume. Only Ceske Radio managed to post a gain yesterday, rising a modest 0.95% on a one-time lift from the offers, against the stock’s declining trend. Cesky Telecom was under selling pressure in the morning, dropping to CZK 592.80, but supported by bids later in the day, climbed back up to near Friday’s closing level of CZK 601.60. Unfortunately, market activity is not picking up, and we do not expect any substantial changes in volumes and price levels of the major stocks in the coming days. The volume yesterday reached USD 10 mil.
