Consumers’ confidence in the USA, measured by the Michigan University Index, declined in February to 91.3 from 96.9 points, the two year maximum reached in January. Optimism decline was caused by fears of unemployment development.
Purchasing Managers’ Index in services sector in eurozone decreased last month to 57.5 from 57.9 in January. Even because of the slight decline, the value of Index above 50 points suggests strong expansion expectation within this sector.
Eurozone production prices in January increased by 0.1% m/m. Inflation decelerated from 4.1% in December to 2.9% y/y in January.
