(Ondřej Daťka) The Prague MFDnes daily reports that among the conditions that Eurotel and RadioMobil seek in return for paying a fixed price of CZK 6.7 bil. for the UMTS licenses is that the payment period be extended to 20 years. This is unacceptable to the Ministry of Finance. Another condition is that no fourth license is issued in the next 20 years. The operators further want to launch UMTS services not before 2004. Neutral news. Only the Cabinet can change the price and the conditions, and that won’t happen before August 22, its next session.
